Picnic

On Saturday, August 7, 2004, we will have a guided tour of the school, followed by a family picnic, complete with games and food.  The tour will begin at 11:30 am and is open to anyone interested in coming.  Apparently the tour was a big hit last year, both for the graduates and their children.

The picnic will officially begin immediately following the tour.  A best guess is 12:00 pm. However, food will be available as early as 11:00 am until 1:30 pm.  All festivities will be on the school grounds. In the event of bad weather, the fun & games will be moved indoors!  We will invite the staff from our days at GSHS as well as the current staff.  All alumni are welcome, so notify your friends/siblings from other classes.  We encourage everyone to bring their children.

We are thrilled to announce that a classmate, who wishes to remain anonymous, has made a generous donation that will cover the costs of food, rentals and games for the picnic.  The Boosters organization will grill hotdogs, burgers and brats for us, and there will be  fruit trays, soft drinks, water, Gatorade, chips and cookies.  If we have enough feedback ahead of time, we will also provide specialty items that may be needed, like chicken fingers for the kids, etc.

If you are able to bring in baseballs, bats, gloves, camp chairs, etc., please do so.  We will have a volleyball net set up, baseball, and a space walk for the children.  There will be plenty of fun activities for kids of all ages...If you are interested in helping out with the picnic, email Beth at voss_t@bellsouth.net.

If you are wondering how you can help out, consider bringing bubbles, kites, balls or any other universal toy that kids of all ages can share and enjoy!
